Blood Donation

MAKASSAR - PT Comextra Majora organized blood donation activity in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Makassar on 30^th November 2019. The aim of this blood donation activity was to generate awareness on blood donation and as a form of social and humanitarian acts in saving lives during emergencies and in need of blood donors.

107 volunteers came forward to donate blood which included workers and staff of PT Comextra Majora. At the end 80 units of Blood was collected, not much different from the last blood donation in August where 81 bags was collected. A small percentage of donors are deferred due to low blood pressure and low hemoglobin. To help ensure that it is safe for all the volunteers to donate, they must have a minimum hemoglobin level of 12.5g/dL and cannot be higher than 20.0g/dL to donate.

 PT Comextra Majora is committed to continue and organized Blood donor activities as one of the Sustainable CSR Programs.
