President Jokowi's visit to PT Comextra Majora

In a series of work visit activities to Makassar, on November 26th, 2016 President Joko Widodo also visited PT Comextra Majora. On that occasion, Jokowi also inaugurated cashew exports to Netherlands. The President and his entourage took time to saw the processing of cashew nuts at PT Comextra Majora factory. President Jokowi also had a dialogue with workers who are doing cashew nut processing activities that will be exported to various countries.

President Joko Widodo stated that the Government will encourage the cashew nuts not to be exported in the form of raw cashew nut (RCN), therefore to reduce RCN export, the government will soon apply export tax (export duties) for RCN.

During the visit President was accompanied by : Minister of Agriculture Ir. H. Andi Amran Sulaiman, MP, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti, Cabinet Secretary - Dr. Ir. Pramono Anung Wibowo, M.M, Presidential Chief of Staff Drs. Teten Masduki, Governor of South Sulawesi - Dr. H. Syahrul Yasin Limpo S.H., M.Si, M.H, and other high officials.
